As you know, I was one of the lucky quilters to have been chosen as an Island Batik Ambassador. I love these fabrics with their vibrant colours and versatile patterns.
I want you to have a chance to enjoy them as well so I am holding a contest. All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment on my blog or Facebook page telling me how you would use the fabric.
Contest will run from April 17th until April 30th. If you are the winner, I will contact you for your mailing information.
To check out what you might win, go to www.islandbatik.com
Good luck and please share this post.
Blessings
Ok so I can't comment on the facebook post, so I am going to try here. Yeah it works ...lol...I am not anonymous though...it is Deb V.
ReplyDeleteI have been making a lot of bags lately and I love the look of Batiks for bags. I have more bags planned, so if I won the fabric, that's where it would go.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win, Anna
Left a comment 2 days ago, but still not showing, so I will try again. I'm going to try some raw edge applique and think these fabrics would be great for that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us!

I would like to make a Log Cabin Quilt :) Please and thanks!
ReplyDeleteI left a comment earlier to day and it still is not showing so I am trying again. My husband and I will make seasonal banners to hang by our fireplace in our family room.
ReplyDeleteI love batiks which I admit took awhile. I owned a quilt store back when they first became popular and really didn't care for them and now I'm just trying to use all my other fabric up so I can buy more batiks to play with. I have so many quilts I want to make but right now on my radar is Texas Tumbleweeds by Bonnie Hunter as I think it looks great in batiks. Thanks for the opportunity to add to my collection. š
ReplyDeleteI have an appliquƩ that I have been wanting to make, and batiks make excellent appliquƩ pieces.
ReplyDeleteI made a lap size throw for myself Island Batiks. My dear friend of 10yrs told me his Mom had cancer He went with her to first chemo. She nearly froze. He cried like a baby. I gave my throw to her. She passed away before she finished chemo but he ask to keep the throw as it reminded him of her and Me. I am now going once every 6 months for injection for severe RA. It is done in the Infusion room. I would love to make another throw for somebody to wrap. I am not infused my pills are working. The Dr. said nurses would care for it with blankets. Dr, said it will brighten up the room. I have batiks for myself but would love others to mix with mine so I could maybe make more.......
ReplyDeleteI thought I had left a comment already but I cannot find it. I work with some ladies who make lap quilts for our local hospice. I would share with them.
