Autumn is definitely in the air here in the backwoods. It has finally quit raining (at least for a few days) so the changing leaves are able to show their glory in the sunlight. They haven't completed the change over yet but are about a third of the way there. Some trees seem to change overnight, others are more gradual. The latter ones are often the most colourful. The evergreens add a lovely backdrop making their more vibrant neighbours stand our against their various shades of green.
We have started taking our netted gazebo down. The curtain is off and laying on the deck to complete drying. I have to fix a rip in the canopy before it is stored away. After that comes packing up the family of gnomes and winterizing the garden.
Speaking of gnomes, we visited one of our new neighbours yesterday evening to play euchre and get to know each other. During the conversations, she mentioned making gnomes. Hubby and I love these little people and were anxious to see her creations. She is very talented. I am hoping to get her to join our arts and crafts group.
