Tornados and Torrential Rain

I hope you had a fun and safe weekend.  Ours was pretty stormy.  Our hydro was out Fri. evening for four hours but the area to the south of us fared much worse.  Two tornados touched down in the Muskoka's and quite a bit of damage.  Driving conditions both Saturday and Sunday afternoon was difficult because of the rain.  There were times when you could only see as far as the taillights in front of you.  Thankfully, everybody that I know that was on the road got home safely.
Hubby had been away for a few days and I was able to get quite a bit of sewing done.  I am sewing the binding on a quilt, made a summer dress today and just have to add a few more touches to another quilt.  I should have some photos tomorrow.
I know I need to start thinking about my fall fair entries soon-actually, I should be working on them by now.  However, the world won't end if I don't get a lot done.
Do you enter your local fair?
Blessings,

  1. So glad that you were out of harm's way from the storms, especially the tornados. Yes, I do put some entries into the Fairs. Not a lot this year though. Likely just my flag and Canada 150 quilt. Stumped right now, as need to make a 12" block for that challenge ... must have a maple leaf, but which and what design, when it is for competition? that is the question! :)
