Sunday Afternoon Windown.

Sunday is drawing to a close.  It has been a busy day.  After church, we went to the 60th birthday party for our Pastor's mother-in-law.  It was a nice get together and, as the weather was great, we were able to be outdoors. I haven't done much since coming home.  We had enough to eat at the picnic that we really didn't need supper.
It was the first outdoors event that we've been to this year.  Our spring, as has been the case through much of the country, has been cool and wet.  Along with the miserable weather was a healthy crop of flying bugs.  The black flies are lessening so being outside is not only possible but pleasant.

Yesterday, I sewed the blocks for my appliqued chicken blocks together.  I decided not to use sashing strips but plan on doing some more applique or embellishments in the corners.
Tomorrow starts another busy week.  Quilt group Monday, optometrist and shopping Tues, meeting Thurs and another on Sat.
Blessings,
